Things have definitely changed in half a century since the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. On July 16, 1969 astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and Michael Collins were launched into space and just a mere four days later, a milestone was made.

CBS News anchor, Walter Cronkite, led Americans who were gathered around their nearest television sets and witnessed history in the making during this broadcast. Around the world, nearly a billion people watched this moment on television and were mesmerized when they heard the famous phrase uttered via Armstrong’s crackled voice transmission to Mission Control, “The eagle has landed”.

During his 19 years as anchorman, he was often cited as “the most trusted man in America”. Alongside a line of being the recipient of tons of awards and honors during his lifetime filled with legacy, Cronkite was also the only non-NASA recipient of an Ambassador of Exploration award.

In this episode of Fueled by Death Cast, The Incredible Jeff takes viewers far above the world on their journey into a deep dive regarding the astronauts of Apollo 11. Their mission truly was “One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind.”

Today, Death Wish Coffee returns to the final frontier on the same weekend as the historic Apollo 11 mission, to support STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & design, and mathematics) education.

The Expedition 60 crew, who consist of Drew Morgan of NASA, Alexander Skvortsov of the Russian space agency Roscosmos and Luca Parmitano of ESA (European Space Agency) are scheduled to launch July 20th from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan aboard the Soyuz MS-13 spacecraft at 12:28 p.m. EDT.
