Death Wish Coffee Took Over Google [WATCH]

I googled it:
Google is probably the search engine you use every day and has permeated everyday life with the phrase "Google it" when looking for information. The company started as an idea between two Stanford University students who wanted to create a search engine that used links to determine the importance of individual pages on the World Wide Web.
In 1998 Google, Inc. was born, the name was a play on the mathematical expression of a '1' followed by a hundred zeros which echoed the company's mission: to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.
In the beginning, they made their first servers out of Lego, and the first "Google Doodle" was a stick figure in the logo to let site visitors know all the employees were playing hooky at Burning Man Festival. Now, the company has over 600,000 employees in 50 countries and they make hundreds of products used by billions of people worldwide, including Google Search.
Death Wish at Google HQ:
One of the newer content features that Google produces is their Talks At Google platform. Self-described as "Where Great Minds Meet" it is a global series that puts the world's most influential thinkers, creators, makers, and doers all in one place. One of the sound engineer's and hosts of the show is Matt Hendershot who was a guest on Fueled By Death Cast.
Matt returned the favor and invited the Death Wish Coffee Company to the Google campus in New York City. We toured the massive facility and got see first hand how the employees, referred to as "googlers", navigate their work day. They are treated incredibly well, with each floor having eye-popping design aesthetic and delicious cafeterias and micro kitchens on site. (The food was amazing!)
We also got to get on stage and Matt hosted Talks at Google featuring Death Wish Coffee. Mike Brown was on hand to talk about the origins of the company and even the name, and other employees talked about how the company has blossomed into a world wide lifestyle brand. You can watch the entire program on Youtube here or watch below, and make sure you check out other amazing interviews at google.com/talks.
